What makes Goodman Goodman?
It’s the people - the team, the guests, the suppliers. They’re all part of what we frequently call, “The Goodman Family”.

The Story

In 2008, three steak-loving old school friends, Misha Zelman, Ilya Demichev and George Bukhov-Weinstein, together with the original team, led by Dave Strauss and John Cadieux, brought Goodman, an American-style steak restaurant, to the heart of Mayfair.

So, how did we get here?

There are obvious reasons that, well over a decade and three restaurants later, Goodman is still here. The exceptional quality of our beef. The wonderful wines. The remarkable produce. The sort of atmosphere that makes many regulars refer to us as their second home. But, to our mind, all of this comes down to the people.

“Everything we do. Every decision we take is about a relationship, and building and maintaining good, strong relationships”

At the heart of everything we do is what we call the Goodman Family.

The original team that laid the foundations for what Goodman would become and the several members of the team who’ve been with us since Day One. The team of today who maintain that soul and continue to move things forward.

The Goodman Family also includes our guests, from those who’ve been with us since 2008 and became friends and knifeholders to those just finding us now.

It’s also our suppliers, from the farmers to the distributors, the winemakers to the importers, the people who share our values, passion and love for what we do every day.

We couldn’t do this without you.
